ABSORBENT MIND
This is Montessori's term for a mind that can absorb knowledge and impressions of the world quickly and effortlessly. Montessori said that the child in the first phase of development (0-6 years)
has a very active absorbent mind, because it absorbs ‘...all impressions not with the mind, but with its own life’ (M.M.: The creative child).
