BASIC NEEDS
According to Maria Montessori, people's basic needs can be divided into two categories: material (survival needs) and spiritual (soul and intellect). Knowledge of these needs should help children
to understand that all people around the world have the same basic needs, although these needs are met in different ways by different cultures. This worldview is at the core of the Montessori
philosophy and cosmic education - it promotes peace, understanding and respect for people all over the world.
